Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Angle Tools does with your data. In short: your photos, camera frames and sensor readings never leave your device, and the site uses Google services for visitor statistics and advertising.

Your files stay on your device
Photos, camera frames and sensor readings are processed by JavaScript running in your browser. They are never transmitted anywhere.
Camera and motion sensors
The camera, inclinometer and goniometer ask for your camera or motion sensors through your browser's standard permission prompt, and only when you start them. The camera feed and sensor readings are processed in memory on your device and are not recorded or sent anywhere. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings.
What is stored locally
Your theme, sensor calibration, goniometer log and saved measurements are kept in your browser's local storage so the tools remember them, along with a note if you dismissed the offer to install the app. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies and receives the address of each page you open, along with general information such as your browser, device and approximate location. It does not receive your photos, camera frames or sensor readings.
Advertising
Angle Tools may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
No account needed
There is no sign-up and nothing to install. Fonts are self-hosted, and the tools do their work in your browser.
Your data and your choices
Because your measurements and photos are not stored on a server, there is nothing of yours for us to look up, change or delete. Data collected by Google Analytics and AdSense is handled under Google's privacy policy, linked above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the tools still work without them.

About these measurements
Readings are estimates taken from rendered pixels and consumer device sensors. Do not rely on them for structural engineering, surveying, manufacturing inspection, navigation, or medical decisions. Check anything safety-critical with a calibrated instrument.
